There is a suggestion on Poppynet that Ladick is continuing to pay the rent, albeit on a reduced basis.
However, it is also reported that the ground is padlocked. Business rates no doubt and other utility charges will continue to accrue.

Let's hope rates etc... get passed on to KC to pay and cost him a fortune, the less money that man makes out of NP the happier I will be :)

Seeing as he never paid anyone else over the last 18 months I'm struggling to believe that.

They still think our club died, when in fact we rescued it from that fate. How many times has their club had a different financial vehicle to carry their "history" (they even changed their name)? Each one something new, yet they claim it leads them back to their formation. If that is the case then we can also claim our roots back almost as far by the same standard.

It is interesting how some clubs claim their history. Even in our league Harrowby United are claiming they were formed in 1949. However they changed their name a few years ago to Grantham United then stopped playing and disbanded and only fairly recently reformed as Harrowby United but still use the original 1949 date on their badge.

I see there are some late contenders for the "Comedy Post of the Year" award on Poppynet as they discuss their push to a "Great Escape" from relegation after their two recent wins.

Mind you, nothing beats the posting by Finedon Dave on there when he trumpeted how the 400 odd fans they had for their "historic" first game at Steel Park - "must be the highest attendance in Northants" - only to be told we'd had over 550 that day for a regular game at the D&D.

Finedon Dave has to be someone taking the piss. His posts have been too funny to be someone being serious.

Their fans are bi-polar, in the space of 10 days they went from 'ooh yay we won our first game!' to 'close the club down, there's no point anymore' to 'we CAN definitely stay up!'.

Now appealing for sponsorship monies. How long can they carry on playing on this basis?
