jason was with us last year, and scored a lot of goals for us. Kings Lynn snapped him up, but a month ago he signed for ucl prem leaders Holbeach, now he has signed for K*ttering Town.
Is this the same Turner we had playing for us the season we went down in League 2? Scored a goal away when we drew 2-2 at Lincoln?

That was John Turner, also scored a hat trick against us for Cambridge before we signed him, my first rdfc away game iirc.

This was on page 4. :o I'd have thought our interest in them might resurrect given that there might be one league between the two sides next season. ;)

Anyway, after a brief resurgence when they signed ex-Diamond Lewis Wilson on loan from Cobblers it appears that their results have deteriorated once more. They look nailed on for relegation.

They released Jason Turner today, which is a bit weird considering the effort they went to to get the player in from Holbeach a month or so back.

You just jinxed our promotion hopes! ;)

Although Turner's missed out on a UCL title Holbeach have already said they aren't getting promoted so I suppose it was worth a try at a higher level. I'm surprised Wilson hasn't been farmed out to Corby/Brackley, to try at a higher level.

 Meant thread! As for threat they're now a non event. Only 412 in attendance on Sunday including a very large away following from table toppers Leamington. Even the Ploppies faithful reckon the home support was a good 250 less than the previous home attendance.

I thought this thread had died a death through lack of interest..............a bit like them really ;)

Seriously, I'd forgotten all about them and don't really care about them now they're out of NP.

More interested in knowing what the gameplan is down at NP than what is happening to the Ploppies to be honest !!

Amazing considering the effort some were going to in order to whip up support for it.

They really are dying on their arse.

They lost 3-0 at Daventry Town in the Hillier Cup semi-final last night in a competition they obviously wanted to win.

Never mind, they have an away trip to Bashley this Saturday to look forward to against the team that beat them 7-0 in their last match at NP. Oh Joy. ;)
