Jamal's Ninth Yellow / Brad's 4 cards

With Jamal getting a yellow card yesterday (a case of "taking one for the team"), I believe, unofficially, that it is his ninth of the season.

I was asked about the qualifying periods at our disciplinary level for totting up - also bearing in mind Brad Harris was unofficially already on four yellows. It needs to be noted we are covered by the "County FA" guidelines rather than the FA guidelines that govern Step 4 and above.

The County FA Guidelines state

If a Player receives a set number of cautions during the qualifying period in the season they will receive a suspension, which will commence 14 days from the date that the 5/10/15 caution was received.

5 Cautions
If a Player receives 5 cautions between the first day of the season and 31st December they will be suspended for a period of 1 match suspension and be fined £15. If they receive their 5th caution after the 31st December they will be warned as to their future conduct and no suspension shall be imposed.

10 Cautions
If a Player receives 10 cautions between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be suspended for a period of 2 match suspension and be fined £15. If they receive their 10th caution after the second Sunday in April they will be warned as to their future conduct and no suspension shall be imposed.

15 Cautions
If a Player receives 15 cautions playing between the first and last day of the season they will be suspended for a period of 3 match suspension and be fined £15.
For every 5 cautions they receive thereafter they will be charged with continuing misconduct.

Let's hope Brad avoids a booking in tomorrow's game.

According to what I posted, that's not quite correct in Brad's case - the only game that might cause him to get suspended for 5 yellows is today's game - and then he'd probably miss the Boston game.
