Blue & White Diamonds

Post by Radio Diamonds »

Hayden, a fan and media volunteer of the club, has created a AFC Rushden & Diamonds blog as part of his Sports Journalism course at Staffordshire University.

He will be posting regularly about the 1st Team, U21s and U18s, who he does match reports for.

The content will be expanding over time so keep looking back and see what has been updated.

Have a look and please comment and join in with the discussions and the more active his blog is (reader comments, views and regular content) the better mark he will get.

Feedback is welcome and comments encouraged as he is also marked on lack of errors and whether the content is suitable for the audience ie. YOU. So if there's something you particularly liked, comment. Or if there's something you'd like to see, let him know.

Thanks everyone!

Here is Hayden's latest blog post, on Diamonds' Centurions.
Following what has happened during the post-match of our fantastic 9-0 win over Desborough Town, many may have forgotten that one of our fan favourites Brad Harris, has now made 100 appearances for Diamonds!

He has become the third centurion for the club, following in the footsteps of left-back Sam Brown and other fan-favourite Matt Gearing. Continue reading →

New blog post on https://bluewhitediamonds.wordpress.com/
The power is in our hands... No not an episode of Take Me Out, but our p******** is now in our hands!

Following Diamonds’ emphatic 9-0 victory against Desborough Town on Saturday, Holbeach came back on Wednesday night, from 2-0 down to draw with Boston Town 2-2. The results now but Rushden ten points clear of The Tigers, who have three games in hand. And seven points clear of Wisbech Town, who have two games in hand. Continue reading -->
There is also a poll at the bottom of the article. Click "continue reading" to see the end of the post and the poll.

As mentioned in the first post on this thread, the more interactions Hayden gets on the blog, the better grade he will get for his University module. So please submit a vote and leave a comment too.

Thanks!

Great content, but as journalism graduate, former reporter and now PR manager, my recommendations to Hayden are proof, re-proof and proof again before posting! I'm not sure his lecturer would appreciate the typos! ;)

I've spoken to a couple of players who have told me what they think of the season so far. Worth a read and see what their aspirations are when the blog goes live in the coming days.

Also the site has had a little face lift and a touch of paint.

Hope you like the new look.

Hayden's latest blog is here : https://bluewhitediamonds.wordpress.com/ It's a catch up with the U18s and how they're getting on.

Also features a few words for a couple of players.
Not forgetting the young Diamonds... …they are still in with a chance of doing the double!

With all the excitement of the first team hoping to gain promotion out of the United Counties League, it is easy to forget, to cast an eye back on the first ever AFC Rushden & Diamonds team.

Don’t forget, all of the original AFC Rushden & Diamonds fans followed the Youth Team for a season in 2011 as they triumphed in NSYL KO Cup – which is the first piece of AFC Rushden & Diamonds silverware. Continue reading →

Here it is! New blog post 'EXCLUSIVE: Gilly Returns'
I would like to welcome back Jake Gillingwater to AFC Rushden & Diamonds for the second time. ‘Gilly’ of course, is a former player of the Rushden & Diamonds Youth team. He then joined up again with his old boss Mark Starmer to play alongside fellow former team-mates at AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Gilly played 52 times in his original spell scoring five times. However he struggled with a knee injury which ultimately is the reason why he left the club.

However Gilly spoke exclusively to Blue&WhiteDiamonds to speak about his return to the club…
