Why? He had a very good second half to the season, and gets extra points for coming over to our supporters and giving a little kid his shin pads at Poxford.

O'Connor doesn't set the world (nor BSBP) on fire, but he weighed in 15 goals last season as joint top goalscorer for the club, and should have scored more. If we can keep him in a settled team I see no reason why next season he shouldn't get to 20 and that'd be a good return. It is time to see more of Smudge as well though.

Thank f**k for that. I think it's time for Sam to begin showing us what he's really capable of, assuming he gets the chance. He had a couple of good performances towards the end of the season, and scored a great goal at Mansfield, but you can't forget his awful showing against Kiddy.

I'm sure he's got the ability in him, and I have faith in JEMS ability to nurture it correctly.

Well, if the previous interview was correct then we should know by now whether Aaron O'Connor has signed a new deal.....

Heard a rumour, York City were/are after O'Connor.
