If we still owned the club through the supporters trust then we really would be stuffed as they couldn't borrow money to tide them over in times like these but now that KC owns the club lock stock and smoking barrel he can get an overdraft to see us through, Oxford will still be there to play later in the season and the backlog of games will bring a windfall in later in the year. Of course those without a season ticket could help the club by buying a half season ticket to tide the club over couldn't they? :D

I think we'll get bigger attendances against Oxford and Luton rather than Ketterin this season, so let's hope we've got something to play for when those games come around.

Hasn't that always been the case ever since they were built?
NO, they used to be well used, when i first started there in 2001 i worked every night at functions, when lindley took over xmas parties were in every room, every night in december. The downfall was the night club,no more weddings and no more private parties, that is hard to get back.then you have bad publicity about winding up. no one is going to book a wedding if they think it could get cancelled.

The situation on the pitch plays a big part as well. When the team was doing really well and attracting big attendances there were more people at games to see the adverts in the programme or on the big screen, and even to see the facilities for themselves. Good marketing back then probably wasn't all that important. It's now that our attendances are so much lower that we need an alternative route to market our facilities. KC made a big effort in this area when he first took over, but I can't remember seeing any events being advertised recently apart from on the club website or matchday programmes.

Actually, I've just had a bit of a brainwave on this front! Does anyone have Rachel Roberts' e-mail address?
