Edit... and having watched that video, the US college leagues look TERRIBLE.
Good news for me, I'll be spending my third year somewhere in the States, I guess it'll be my big break ;)

Interesting news... he looked fairly handy in that video, although the defending and goalkeeping was appalling.

Have just gained access to the FC United boards, I've got the following quotes:

Yoffe I wish him the best, but he never worked at FC for me, hes got ability but in this league you cant take flair touches all the time, simple passes and movement win the day and all too many times he tried flicks and trickery which just never came off and made him look poor. Always looked positive though and tried his hardest.
Yoffe looked very skilful but just too lightweight unfortunately. Best of luck to both though.
I've just told them we've got him on trial and asked what he's like. I'll post any responses I get here.

Well ignoring his record in the US (who knows what sort of level college football is), he hasn't got a fantastic history, don't know how he did in the NW counties league for Cheadle but having a quick look through FC United results from last season, he mostly came off the bench and as far as I can see only scored 3 goals in what must be at least 10-15 games and that's 2 levels below us, so not sure if he's going to be up to this level really.

First response:
Nippy, but as Fcum 91 says, lightweight. Will probably score a barrowload of goals at a lower Non-League level but I really can't see him doing the business at Conference National level. There again, I may be proved wrong.

No matter what these people say, they aren't Justin Edinburgh. I remember when we signed O'Connor, the Mansfield fans laughed at us and look how he turned out. If he has the potential and ability Justin wants, he'll sign him and I'm sure with a bit of quality coaching, he will be a success!

Can be good, but they do tend to be down on their development owing to coming into pro ranks later.

For example Mike Grella at Leeds has bags of talent, but at 23 he's still at the same level development wise as Aidy White at 17.

Agreed and good point about Azza. Posting their comments on here will hopefully mean that they will filter through to him and give him further reason to prove them wrong.
