I know i was thinking that the other day.

I want to buy the new shirt with the new sponsor on. Yes i know you can buy it and then take it back to have the sponsor put on, but i can't be bothered with the hassle.

teams such as west brom have ran a system wereby shirts have diff sponsors on diff games, i wonder if the club have considered this, if they can get a guaranteed num of sponsors, this could be some sort of solution.

But in all fairness, I bet there is hardly an abundance of companies wanting to throw away money to be on a non-league football teams shirt for 1 game with literally zero commercial coverage.

I've asked my company (who used to have boxes at Nene Park) to sponsor but they just laughed because they were here in the glory days. They've not heard from the club since we got relegated from League 1 and we're only in Finedon.. You'd think the club would try contacting local businesses for revenue.

Maybe they do but I always get the impression the Club have stumbled along on the marketing front even in the Griggs funded days when Airwair were providing the funding. It seems to be that other Conference are far more pro active on the marketing front.
I've even sowed the seed with a well-known drag raceway in the area ;) and suggested they speak to Helen or Racheal regarding shirt sponsorship for the forthcoming season.

As a drag racing fan myself that would be awesome - I might even re-buy the home shirt :D
