:? Are you sure? It's a mix between our key players and some youth like tomorrow will be!

Stuart, O'Connor & Tomlin are arguably our best 3 players!

Just got back from the game. good game and overall played pretty well. Power was class playin in the P*** T**** role, sharif looked good and should have had a hat trick, o'connor was the link between midfield and attack but limped off, which is slightly worrying. Good attendance by diamonds, with about 40 there. Overall, played well and knocked the ball arouud well too. Shrewsbury looked good on monday, so should be a good game with hopefully a diamonds win.

I totally agree with that assessment. Power won the official MotM award and rightly so IMO, as he totally bossed the midfield. Shariff and O'Connor caused the 'Combe defence lots of problems with their pace, although one of their centre backs was a little on the morbidly obese side so it wasn't difficult (he could be Steve T's long lost brother ;) )! It was encouraging to see Nabil playing so well against a full mens side, even if they are well below our level, and he took his two goals very well.

We had some good banter with their 'keeper who was a dead ringer for Alan Marriott and did nothing but moan at his team mates all game! He was rather impressed with Tomlin though, who hit the bar early on with a free kick. Probably the biggest cheer of the game was saved for the appearance of Ilfracombe's female physio who was called upon late on, after we had been urging their players to go down injured in front of us all game!

Can't wait for the Shrewsbury game now, hopefully we'll experience the same hospitality at Torrington - and the same result! :D
