Ever since he had a mare in the first leg of the playoff against Oxford, and then lost his starting place, whenever he's played he's been off the pace and his first touch has been poor. It's a shame because I like the lad but regular football at Chelmsford might get his confidence and touch back again.
As BR suggests, it will open the door for McDonald.
Remember that well i had never seen him play so badly.Being fair to the lad though he never got many chances after that, and the chances he did it would be hard to form an opinion.
I like him as a player and think he can still do a good job for us.All the best to him at Chelmsford and i hope he can win his place back.

Spot on 2 of D. Big game against a big club in this league and we loan out a very credible defender - a bit risky in my opinion. Why not keep Kurt a few more days..?
Some on here don't seem to rate Kurt - I disagree as I've seen many stirling performances from the lad and he is more than capable in this league. However, I do agree Jamie Day has more to his game, but surely if JD is still banned and Kurt is fit and able why loan him out right now..?

Sometimes manager's decisions are beyond me but I also know as fans we only see 90 minutes every 2 weeks and what goes behind the scenes day to day at the club is invisible to us...

The problem is that none of us really understand the loan system - such as the vaguaries of converting a short term loan into a long term loan, or when the latter has to start, or which loans are regarded as work experience loans. I thought I'd got a fair grasp on it by reading the FA Handbook - http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/~/media/File ... -11-v1.pdf only to find out in discussions with Matt Wild that the Conference has it's own specific rules relating to loans which aren't easy to get hold of.

A bit like that directive relating to admission pricing for away fans. :(

Says here that this loan is with a view to a permanent deal. I am a little surprised by that. Some other interesting bits in there too

With Jamie Day in the squad and with a talented young player coming through i can see why he may be sold, but the timing does seem a bit strange
