As i did not attend last night, what is those in attendance's view of Gash? Is he just another Sills or does he have potential. for me it seems that Smith should step into this role now!

He did nothing apart from setting up the second goal, and playing in Osano with a back heel who then set up the first goal. :?
I think Gash does a lot of good work outside the box, holding the ball up and bringing others into play, but I can't ever see him getting on the scoresheet. He wins a reasonable amount in the air but there is very rarely anyone close enough to benefit from his flick ons. The formation may be partly to blame for that.

Hmm, maybe it'd be better to use Gash as a link-up player between the midfield and forwards, so we've effectively two centre-forwards and one just behind in the hole?

Against the scum Gash won lots of headers, but was never going to be there for anything that went across the box. Great for a target man as long as you don't expect goals.

I thought Gash played quite well last night, won 90% of what was to be won in the air, got an assist, and assisted Osano's assist with a great little bit of skill. After last night I've gone from disliking him to liking him.
I don't know if i've just not been watching him the last few games though
