Spot on DF, Of course HT could be "deep under cover" ;)

Er, I don't think there's anyone left apart from the players. You don't walk away though do you? You sit back, you take it and you hold on.

I heard that the new owners were quite unhappy about certain things that have come to light recently on the financial side that may have a bearing on this swift fall from grace. I can't say anymore as I don't have any facts first hand so it wouldn't be fair to be more specific. Maybe we'll get a bit more information at the forum.

Will Helen continue her role with the Supporters Trust now? It seems like a potential conflict of interest to me.
I recieved notice of the A.G.M. this morning, signed by her as secretary.

I thought it was a bit funny to announce that she was leaving "with immediate effect" that's the sort of thing that they put when someone is dismissed. Pity really after all Helen has done for the club.

That's a good point about the Trust. I haven't received my letter yet, maybe I'm further down the list?

I agree she did keep Diamonds afloat, but there are ways of doing things and she alienated a lot of people who also bled RDFC. I think the new owners have made a fresh start at board level, time will tell if that proves to be a good or bad thing, but what I can say there is one less cloud hanging over Nene Park now.
Corby are NOT a rival and I would never consider them to be.

Just be patient. It's just a case of preparing and getting through them.

Agreed, I wasn't singling Helen out as the only person, there are loads of volunteers who have given their time (and continue to) who deserve much praise - many of whom do great work well under the radar of the "normal" fan. I wouldn't include myself in that list at the moment if I'm honest D4eva, I've done my bit in the past, but these days I tend to just watch the football.
I'm fairly sure I know where Helen's heart is and I also think I understand her reasons for taking this role on.
The new owners of R&DFC are just that, owners, they can do whatever the hell they like with the club, I'm just grateful we have owners - period !!
I think there will be loads of changes at the club over the coming weeks, some good, some bad - I look forward to the Fans Forum with interest to hear from the new owners first hand what their plans are. The FF will certainly be held with a different, and hopefully more positive, atmosphere now we've won at last
Onwards and upwards - we're just 9 points off the play-offs and have a game in hand on Fleetwood - game on !!!!!!
