Good job we've moved on 20 years then. In the 80s racism was rife on the terraces as well.

Fair points - I'm only trying to defend them because they're who I grown up with as commentators, even if Andy Gray has started to get annoying, especially on the FIFA games :P
and to think nearly 20 years in the job, 1...well 2 stupid comments and your out the job...
Who are they going to get to replace him (or them if Keys goes aswell) ?

Souness, Redknapp or Alan Smith they're saying in the papers.

Have a look, you will find a lot of times that Keys has said things with a mic on.
Andy Gray is also in the process of suing the News of the Screws. Hardly going to go down well with Murdoch.

to be honest its their own faults, like in all workplaces youve got to be professional and keep silly conversations like that to themselves

To be fair to them, they didn't say anything that hasn't been repeated a million times over the years...they were just stupid enough to get caught doing saying it. I certainly wasn't offended by it....
