The Golden Goal was run by the old "official" supporters club alongside the 50/50, which was run by the Independent supporters club, during the Griggs era.
When the Trust took over and the 2 supporters clubs ceased to exist the Trust took over the half time draw, adopting the 50/50 format.

I also prefer the golden goal (which I never won). The closest I came was when Darren Collins scored 3 seconds after the clock flipped past my time - the annoying thing was that there had been a brief injury stoppage during the minute that was on my ticket :(

Definitely not bitter, Dave. In fact, I only think about 3 or 4 times a day now :lol:
