Not sure if the goal in the first half was offside as I was watching the ball but we played well in the first half and Wrexham really dominated in the second. Great save by their keeper at the end to stop us getting a late winner but a draw was probably a fair result. We now really need to win the next 3 games if we want to have a chance at the play-offs, I think it's going to be a step too far this season unfortunately. :(

I can't believe I am saying this;

Last week, I was one of the many calling for Louis to go, however after today, I am very happy we have kept him on.

With him playing, we looked very dangerous, we had an outlet, a direction of attack, creating a variety of chances through his link-up play.

Without him playing, we looked toothless, and for memory, didn't create one clear chance in the second half, apart from the last minute header!

Well Done JE, but a very poor flat second half performance :(

Yep it did, can't say I'm hugely surprised either, just like what I said in the other thread, it was another one of these games where while we did create a few good chances we gave the ball away just way too much and it was a below par performance from most of the team.

Also what was up with Tomlin tonight in what may be his last game at NP? It was a poor performance by his standards and he seemed so reluctant to take any set pieces tonight, he just stood there hoping someone else to take that last one, why would anyone else take it when they know he's obviously the best taker?! I'm sure I wasn't the only one annoyed to see so many set pieces taken by Farrell and not Tommo.

I think 0-0 was a fair result really, we gave the ball away way too much for my liking, saying that, Wrexham weren't much better, can definately see why they aren't scoring many, overall a very poor game.
How on earth Farrell missed his chance in the first half, I'll never know.

Yep, goals looks a problem for Wrexham, but they had some decent players in other positions. Have to say that Spann at right back has to be one of the best i've seen in the position this season and the number 20 who came on looked decent(can't remember his name). Also a decent keeper, so tonight's result was'nt as bad as seems, but a victory on Saturday is required now!

Thought we were the better team first half and deserved to be winning at half time, - also i don't think that Byrne was offside, and Farrell should have bagged that chance what a miss!

On the other hand the second half was terrible, we always seem to play to play worse playing towards the Airwair, credit to Wrexham's keeper for that save right at the death from Byrne. Roll on Saturday, Forest Green won at Hayes tonight so can't see why we can't.

As I said on 'wingless wonders thread', we had no width and didn't get behind them and created few chances - eg, this must have been the game with the lowest number of corners for us all season . Not only did this result in a lack of scoring opportunities, it also meant poor entertainment and does not encourage our fewer and fewer fans to fork out good money, (in these hard times), to come again.
We were better than Wrexham but the system we played levelled the game.
Also Smith needs to start and we can't afford a passenger in mid-field...

i personally enjoyed the game - for a 0-0 draw

thought we attacked well in the first half farrell should have scored but managed to put the ball over the stand as well as the bar from all of 2-3 yards and was overall poor tonight.
missed louis after he was taken off
byrnes goal should have stood, was behind the goal so didnt see clearly down the line but must have started his run behind tommo
second half it could have gone either way both keepers made good saves late on we did seem to lose some width second half and nearly got caught on the break a number of times

whats with osano running up the feild beating 2-3 players and trying to score from 30 yards ?
he tried it a few times tonight

overall we will settle for the draw as we could have blown it towards the end but we really should have taken our chances better and won the game by half time.

if we are going to reach the playoffs we need to win games like this

Creditable mention for Dale Roberts though, who seriously earned his clean sheet with a few great saves especially the way he put off the Wrexham attacker in the second half so he missed from a yard out. Well done Dale. :)
