I wasn't implying you, or in fact anyone in particular on this board, just some fans in general can't hack someone questionning their support to their supported club.
And yeah, it's very hard to compete. You'd have to be mentally insane to actually hand on heart say that the match with Forest Green will be more entertaining than Arsenal vs Barca. I know as fans we watch Diamonds but there aint too many 'fans'.
I'm a closet Gooner (my dad supported them and I've got a soft spot for them since he died) but I'd still rather be at a live match, I'd probably be there if it were just a Youth Team game in truth - nothing like fresh air and a live football !!

A decrease in attendances was the main reason why the Football League resisted the offers of televising games until the erly 80's. The first live league match IIRC was Forest v. Spurs around 1982 by ITV on a sunday afternoon. The only other domestic live match was the Cup Final.
The rest they say is history and a contributing factor to a decrease in attendances at lower league/non league fixtures. :(

These clubs and Michelle Pratini dont give a damn about anything lower than the Premier League.
Why would they? Pretty much all lower league players will never play in the champions league. Let's not forget that there are many other countries involved in the Champions League in which the lower leagues have little following/importance, our lower leagues are the most supported/followed in the world. So personally i don't see why UEFA should change just for the benefit of one country,
