Why not sell a real stake in the club with a fan's director appointed to the board?
I'll take some convincing to part with any cash for this.
B shares don't necessarily mean no voting rights. The class of shares actually means nothing, some companies attach more voting rights to B shares than A shares, for example. It needs to be made clear though.

Yeah it depends on the terms and conditions of the company. In reply to why not sett a real stake in the club- these shares have the same net value as class A

Count me in i will certainly be having some, from what i understood at the fans forum the money raised will be for Justin to enable him to sign players.

Yep. Says in the article that the money will go to the playing budget.

i.e 0.50 x 1,000,000 x (1/0.1)
It would have been nice to see a few terms and conditions to gauge the advantage over just making a series of 50p donations to the cause. I've googled "Special B Shares" without a great deal of luck in finding a clear definition of the term.
True, but if we cleared the lot, JE would have a £5 million playing budget next season.

Why are people picking it apart? Surely no-one is actually doing it as an investment.

Parting my hard earned cash for this is just plain stupid................so I'm in !!
Seriously, its not a wise business investment, so if you're looking for a massive return on your investment, steer well clear. But if you're looking to provide cash to help Justin develop a Championship winning squad next season or just want to own a little bit of the club (both damn good reasons in my opinion) then its raid your piggy banks time

can I ask why we don't all just give a donation instead? If there is no profit or gain then its just a charity surely?
Although I probably am missing something bigtime

The gain is that you own part of the club. Owning shares for your money is surely more attractive than just a donation for most people.
