So, are there many of you coming up, or making a weekend of it? It sounds like you didn't enjoy your last visit, Rudolf? Have you had a bad experience involving massive indoor shopping centers or big rusty angels? :?
It's only a 460 mile round trip, you'll easily get back home for last orders.
Firstly its spelt RUDOLPH,
Secondly I have been all over the country and Third only to Bristol and Liverpool it is a shithole,
Thirdly IF I decided to make the long trip I wouldn't worry about getting back for last orders as I'd stay in the lovely city of Newcastle at my mates house. ;)
You didn't answer the main question, rudolff, but I see the bus was cancelled so I'm guessing there will only be around 25/30 of you making the trip?
So we only get the bronze medal for shitholes, eh? Well, better than no medal at all, I suppose. Anyway, I'm off to feed the whippets and brush down my flat cap, before I go back down the pits in the morning.
Safe journey to those who travel.
Up The North!!!

Oh sorry there, I'm guessing there will be the 100 or so that are hardy travellers.
There are no pits left thanks to the Tories, but sweet dreams eh

Heedlad, are there any decent pubs in Gateshead? A group of 9 of us are along the trip and ae having a night out in Newcastle. We aim to get to gateshead/ Newcastle mid morning, is it beat to drink in Newcastle before the game? Cheers

My mate said there is a pub just near the ground, but the metro is pretty efficient if needs must. lol

If you're here for a good few hours, we usually recommend away fans drink around Newcastle Central Station (head to the right when you leave the station, unless you spend the pink pound) as Gateshead town center is
still being redeveloped, and you need to know where to go (and where not to go ;) ). There's a good selection of bars around the Central (cheap/posh/sports/Irish) and snack houses to keep you entertained. It's only 2 stops (about 5 minutes) from the ground each way on the
Metro system (light rail) and only costs a couple of pound. Then it's a 3 minute walk in a straight line through the housing estate from Gateshead Stadium Metro station to the ground. There is a bar behind the stadium, on the banks of the Tyne, called the Schooner, which it's wise to head to for a couple before the match, just so you don't miss kick-off.
If you need any more info, just ask.

Thanks for the info Heedlad, we will probably pay the schooner a visit before kick off. We had a night out in Newcastle a couple of months ago (when the original fixture was due to be played) and it was amazing! Hope we have a good one again
