now its time for us all to get behind the club. Thank you Steve for these comments they really help.

one small issue, please lets all have the same info at the same time, a guy who sits a few rows from me in the south stand seems to know everything that is going on or indeed claims to know everything!! please lets sort communication out from the top down for us all at the same time.

FYI Mad dog; I've been around a lot longer than the past year, having started watching the diamonds when they played at the top of my street (i.e. Irthlingborough 'rec) and later after "morphing" into R&D. I'm not generally one for posting, negatively or otherwise, but it really hurts to see the club slide into extinction with a schoolboy chairman and an ex bankrupt in charge. Neither with any local connections or sentiment.

I hope I'm proved wrong.

Negative, negative, negative. Why don't we all cut our throats now and be done with it?

I'm starting to feel better about the situation. Maybe I'm deluded, maybe not, but I prefer being in a good mood than thinking that the sky is going to fall in any minute.

I don't care if you've been going for 1 year or 100 years, being a doom merchant doesn't do you any favours. My point still stands that your posts have been nothing but negative.

Incidentally if you live in Irthlingborough, have you considered volunteering at the club and offering your services and any advice? The club needs volunteers and help, if you have ideas, talk them, any good advice can only help in the grand scheme of things.

This statement is a step in the right direction. Who cares that they have no ties to the area? There are plenty of morons around here with ties to the area that are too lazy or not interested in getting involved in this club.

The news last week was not good but if you look around, I notice sponsorship boards being put up, facilities being repaired (fell into disrepair under KC and the Trust), doors being repainted, people reporting that people from the club have visited their school to get local kids involved. It wasn't long ago we had a boxing night which sold out (I can't remember the last time a non-football event sold out at Nene Park). We've just been awarded a cup final by the FA (money for the club).

It's a confusing situation I'll grant you, but I notice green shoots here and there amongst all the doom and gloom.

I agree with Mad Dog, we are seeing green shoots so let's just wait and see how things so in the next few months. PBDevs are starting within the next few weeks so it looks like the wheels may finally be in motion. As for the positivity thing, last week has proven to me that I'd much rather bury my head in the sand with the positive statements from the Club than continually be cynical. I'd hate to be feeling as on edge as I was for those few days throughout the whole summer!

I also agree. Maybe it was because the sun was shining on Saturday but it was evident that a bit of maintenance work had already been carried out on the stadium even the red diamonds had been re-painted on the doors!
The pitch looked splendid, two late goals capping a spirited fight back by the lads and I reckon most people went home happy.
The Beasants, however, need to continue to communicate with the fans. Onwards and upwards. ;)

The problem isn't that you've been a fan for that long (you'd have got less years for murder  ), it's that you're assuming the worst with little evidence.
Since the new owners came in here's what they've delivered when they said they would;-
1) a share issue
2) cleaned the North stand
3) replaced a load of the car park lamps
4) brought in a more level pricing system
5) fixed the pitch drainage
6) they're using fan initiatives
7) the NVQ business (don't forget that these people have upped sticks and MOVED here, that's a huge committment)

Sure it's been a bumpy ride (any bumpier than with KC and the numerous winding-up orders/ electricity cut-off?). Give these guys a decent chance, that's all we ask. If you go looking for something bad to happen, then you'll most likely find it so look for something good and be a happy person eh?

Well said TofD. Got to give them a chance and if they fail Cousins still owns the club so I''m sure he would still want to get a return from someone...
R & D lives on..!
