This is really sad news,
I understand that in return for us being granted the game we would of had to promote it, these two clowns are unable to promote a rushden game so how the hell did they expect to promote this.

A completely fair decision in my eyes from the FA. I would have done the exact same in their case.
Completely unfair on us the supporters & the real heart and soul of this club though.

Echo everyone elses thoughts on here. Justified by the FA, but another kick in the teeth for the club.
I thought bad things come in 3's. This is just taking the p**s :(

Do people still feel confident to buy season tickets and shares?

I think this is even worse news than you can imagine, and if you think about it for a while you will see why.
An England C game is given to a non-League club to host. It is announced months in advance, it takes planning on the part of the FA and the players, even if the host club is expected to promote it.
The Stadium has not fallen down. The pitch hasn't flooded. The lights haven't failed. There is clearly no issue with the national geography, because the new host ground is only fifteen miles away if you take the long way round... so the ONLY reason the FA can have for switching the game is because they know something we don't, which actually over-rides any considerations of discretion, and which suggest that they have no confidence in the contined survival of the Club at all as any kind of going concern, and they cannot take any sort of risk on a last-minute switch in venue. After all, in practical terms, there is no reason why a club in Administration could not host a match... but a liquidated Club couldn't, could it?
I don't usually say things like this, as you all know I'm a pretty positive person and usually try to form a link between the Club and fans which supports both, but I think it's quite plain. We're completely screwed, and the FA knows we are completely screwed.
And before anyone asks, no, I don't have any inside information! That dried up when Keith and then Helen left. I have no connection whatsoever with the Beasants.

And to think that anyone asking the question "how will the club survive on the proceeds of a yet to be set up NVQ business" got slated beyond belief. In, head, and sand comes to mind!

it's sad but not surprising in the present circumstances. We no longer have the staff to organise ticket sales. publicity and press coverage. It should still be worth going to see, even at the dreaded new venue. Remember it is a European cup final. Let's hope Max and Jamie give a good account of themselves and show that Rushden & Diamonds live on.

This isn't the time for "I told you so"'s - surely it's the time for action - are you "in" ?
