Re: Players pledge to help on Tuesday......
Call me a thicko, but this whole pledging for a season ticket next year means.. you go down to NP tell them your going to buy a season ticket but dont actually pay for it? or do you? I will be getting a season ticket, but Im at university tomorrow and I also only have 1p to my name.

Re: Players pledge to help on Tuesday......
If I buy my season ticket and that money gets swallowed up in the magic £250k needed just to avoid "RIP RDFC", where is the money goingto come from to pay players wages/running costs for next season?

Is it worth asking Rach if we can open the dressing room, so when they come to the Diamonds Centre to buy there ticket then can have a look round the players area?

Re: Players pledge to help on Tuesday......
Just to clarify on this - I'll also check with Cheryl.
The primary aim tomorrow is to get as much money (Cash/Cheques) for Season Tickets as possible. So that the Trust has real tangible money to hand. This money will be held by the Trust, whilst the Season Ticket Forms of course are with the club for registration purposes and normal tracking. i.e. to be clear the money is not in the frozen accounts, as was mentioned before.
The monies are then intended only to be used/banked once the Trust/Club knows it can then move forward.
The key is that really for Season Tickets they want real payments (cash/cheque).
There should also be forms for joining the Trust also available (remember it is free now)
The information about the event has been put on a Trust Press Release yesterday I believe to the various news contacts that the trust/club use normally (so should be in today's ET), and John Souster was meeting with the ET today (as arranged at Friday's meeting) as well as a follow up.

Re: Players pledge to help on Tuesday......
Being away on holiday I don't have time to catch up on all the threads, but just reading a couple makes depressing reading.
I don't think people realise we are drinking in the last chance saloon here. If we don't get a significant way towards our target at Tuesday's event then that's it - no more Rushden & Diamonds FC.
Yes,there will be challenges still to be faced should we reach the target, and many questions still to be answered - and those who came to Friday's meeting had many of these spelt out - but there was also a realisation there that if we don't get close to the target there are no other options that will raise anywhere near enough money, and no sugar daddies have been sighted on the horizon.
Let's hope Warren's Press Release and all the good work the people are doing phoning people on the database are having the desired effect and we have queues out of the door tomorrow.

Indeed it was - and the Press List I gave to Warren before going on holiday includes all of those organisations - as well as national portals such as the Press Association from whom it might be picked up by other media outlets.diamondal wrote:This was all discussed on Friday.
