If you look at the paths Lee Tomlin and Joe Day took (and to a lesser extent Simeon Jackson) isn't that the way the Diamonds operated - especially given we've rarely hung on to a first team player for more than two seasons in recent years. One might argue Sam Smith and Curtis Osano were following a similar route.

If it could have also have been fed from out under-19 system then it might have been a decent fit - and although I accept the issues BartonRaz has identified, these are no more significant than the issues you could find regarding our current owners on the day they took over.

Here's another hypothetical question then. 20-year-old Yogi Bear is playing for Rushden & Diamonds, and a bid has been accepted from Peterborough for his services. Who gets the money? Rushden & Diamonds or GHA? Infact, is there even a fee involved? Or is he just allowed to leave?

It's a question we may never know the answer to now.

Edit: I didn't see the post from Trek and didn't realise you were directly referring to it, but the question still remains.

Exactly. Sounds like this consortium were planning to run a BSP club on the cheap, with little or no wage bill.
I also understood that the GHA had relocated to Bisham Abbey so no guarantee that they would be based at Nene Park.

Smarter than the average bear, certainly.

Well, if the club goes bust then maybe the old girl will take the Beasants down with her ?

Y'know, all through my life I've felt I've been learning lessons in patience. This one is certainly one of the hardest.

I've chased SB and KC regarding an update on the OWS, and SB has advised that he "will forward tomorrow a full statement on all matters regarding all events and current status of Club."

Thanks for that Tony, somehow though that statement doesn't make me feel any better

The full statement being something convoluted about us being fucked no doubt. I'm a sad panda tonight.
