On a serious note, would any Diamonds fans support another team if/when the lights are turned off at Nene Park? Obviously not NTFC or KTFC but would you watch another pro team or would you just watch local amateur football?
I won't lie to you - the temptations of Brighton are big.
Brand spanking new stadium, millions being splashed on flair players, and football being played exactly how it should.
I doubt I would ever feel the same way towards them as to the Diamonds though. Sure I would watch them but wouldn't have the passion. Maybe not such a bad thing - the enjoyment of football without any despair and depression!
Seems a bit like a loveless, shallow marriage though. ;)

I'd just stop watching football unless another Rushden team sprang up. The prospect of it is quite galling. I wouldn't have any attachment to any other team so I wouldn't see the point.

;) Couldn't resist, sorry
Looks bleak for you lot now doesn't it, have to be honest and say i genuinely don't care for your club and will be happy to see you go......however you can't help but feel a bit of sympathy towards the genuine fans of the club who put time and effort in and devote all their spare time to the club, if there were more fans like you then maybe you'd have had a chance of saving the club.....seems like that is the problem, not enough people care, lots of people may have turned up to your initial meeting, 500 wasn't it? But who actually helped....bar donating a few £ each?
RIP Rushden & Diamonds.
thanks very much for that knifing, much appreciated I'm sure. It'll be just as interesting to see how your own situation fares once the moneyman decides to walk away. Good luck to you too fella.

Not sure I could support another, especially not NTFC.. my step dad said he'd go and watch MK Don's but I doubt I would.
Would only support another team if it was Phoenix RDFC side.

Terrible for them especially, dreams shattered.
