KC is the only one sitting pretty here with a pocket full of land in a prime location!
Don't forget it came free issue to him and he will enjoy his reward for a good bit of business completed!
You could say the day Max Griggs walked away we were doomed, he built his playground and then didn't want to play in it for long.
I have had a season ticket for 12 seasons and will miss attending the games but to be fair this season grated on me and once KC sold out the writing was on the wall and his pay day was always going to arrive!

Not really free !! He picked up £512k of losses and has had to pick up the shortfall ever since - overall it may still pan out to be a decent deal for him if he can do something with the and, but it wasn't free !!

I hate it when people say that because it infers Max just got bored and dumped us - it was the harsh economics of the situation that caused him to leave, and I think he did so with heavy heart - I'll never accuse Max of just running out on us

This has been a difficult season, I'm still not 100% sure about KC's motives in all of this, on the face of it he is working hard to save us, if he were looking for his big payday, why is he bothering to try and broker deals to save us - I'm genuinely confused about that !!

Pointing the finger won't change what has happened but it will let people do some soul searching. I have gone 'other' based on the following:
The Beasants have to accept some responsibility as they took over a club - possibly with no debts - and in six months run up huge debts. When they took over the club they should have had in place a sound business plan which had clearly defined revenue streams which would make up the shortfall between current income and current expenditure. Just having some training company was never going to do the job. They should have also brought with them some hard cash to keep things going until their revenue streams were on line.
KC has to accept some responsibility for selling - or giving - the club to the Beasants. As freeholder and possible creditor it was in his own interests to do due diligence. If any was done it was clearly not enough. If the club folds would it adversely affect his material wealth. Probably not and in fact it could well be increased if the site is redeveloped as industrial/other leisure.
The Fans - some fans have to take responsibility. Many have trailed off in recent years. I started supporting the club when they were in a relegation dog fight in league two having just moved to the area. I have gone to every match I could since then and tried to travel to away games if able. However, many 'fans' vanished when the glory was gone leaving the hardcore thousand who have done such a tremendous job in continuing to give support.
Me - I think I should have bought the club. I could have brought as much money to the table as the current owners and a damn sight more ideas on how to get some cash through the gate without relying solely on finding rich backers.
Now that I have apportioned the blame I will satrt work on my rescue package :lol:

I believed the only way KC was going to get a payout was by selling the groud not bulldozing it, potentially without a club that's not going to happen, that's why he was trying to get a deal sorted I would have thought.
Surely the covenant means the ground must stay which means no payout

Its 5 minutes from th A14, probably the BUSIEST A road in the country. It crosses another two main routes with easy access to the A1 an M1. Its a quality location.

I was more referring to it's location in relation to the Nene!

only any good for industry and not for housing.is all the buildings/ground paid for ,if so,why not mothball it ,start a pheonix club ,and move back in later,giving plenty of time to find investors and to sort out how to run a football club
