That was a dreadful tackle - it made me wince, although I accept I was a lot closer to it. His one at Northwich was almost as bad - and he almost caused a ruck in a pre-season friendly against Blackpool with another of his trademark tackles that made you expect a red card.

My other memory will be of the stick he gave the Grimsby fan behind the dugout in the abandoned game - I guess the fan didn't know he almost made it as a boxer.

I don't agree. I think Cockers is a fantastic utility player who is dangerous at set pieces and is underrated. A good player to have in any Conference side, plus still only 23.
I agree with you MD. I think his main problem was his utility, he never really got the chance to play in one position and make it his own. For me he was best as a centre back. His height was always a problem, but as mentioned he was a great leader and I think he could still be a decent CB.

Best of luck to Corcs!!! May have to be making a little trip down to Dover Diamonds to see our old lads whilst the Pheonix club is being set up.

Just remembered the pitchside brawl at Ebbsfleet when Benny lost it again, Burge sort of tried to step in as captain but didn't do much, nowt calmed down till Corcs waded in and started dragging people apart including his manager

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Chipped in with a few decent goals also. Possibly goal of the season in the 5-0 against Barrow, left foot curler from the edge of the box
