I love the idea of voting on issues, but isn't that something that should be decided by those that are well informed on the matter, not to mention the fact that people may just vote for the ground closest to them rather than one that makes more sense.AndyKirkup wrote:The fans haven't been given the chance to vote on that yet.The Godfather wrote:I still want to know, where we will be playing the games?
Raunds would be my preferred option out of that lot.The Godfather wrote:Raunds, Thrapston & Wellingborough were the ones suggested. I'm not keen on any of them!
Raunds Town have a 1st Team & Reserve team, plus Youth Football all being played on that pitch. It's not going to happen.BartonRaz wrote:St Neots looks like a nice little ground but it's surely too far away. Spencer Park. There is a lot of land there, and it can be developed. (it will never happen though...)Mad Dog wrote:Out of interest (and please be serious) where would you like to see AFC play?
Let's be realistic here. Unless anyone's got a spare few million to buy Spencer Park, secure planning permission and put the facilities in place for at least UCL level, all in the space of less than a year it's not going to happenThe Godfather wrote:Spencer Park. Why can't we give the fans the benefit of our research and then get them to vote? Personally I have a great deal of faith in the supporters to choose what's in the best interests of the club.BartonRaz wrote: I love the idea of voting on issues, but isn't that something that should be decided by those that are well informed on the matter, not to mention the fact that people may just vote for the ground closest to them rather than one that makes more sense.
As long as it is a ground that could be expanded should we progress then I don't really care!
But we wouldn't be eligible to play in the NSYL for 2011/12 if we played at Spencer Park. The Godfather wrote:Spencer Park. There is a lot of land there, and it can be developed.
