I've never been Helen Thompson's most ardent supporter, but people need to cut her some slack rather than jumping all over her. It's not like she accepted, or purposely acted against the interests of the club (to my knowledge). If you have a personal issue with someone, then keep it personal.

Helen is amoung the few diamonds fans (current or present) with experience of running the club. Yes she probably made mistakes, but anyone would, at least she didn't do what the Stockport fans' trust did which was double accounting for some income streams leaving them in a financial hole. Helen could be quite valuable to the new club, if not being involved then as a source of information, or even just as a casual fan who you can expect to turn up most weeks.

I fear that if she does get on board with them, then a few really will see it as OK. I think it is one of several moves Ladak was always going to try (presuming previous had failed), in this I include getting Justin Edinburgh on board. No dobut should this fail he will have another trick up his sleeve to try.

I won't slag HT off, but if this did prove to be true then I would feel very disappointed and let down.

Well said Jemfy. And in repsonse to the post about us being back in the FL inside 3 years, plenty of people fell for the Beasants' bullshit. I remember speaking to JE and Drives at one of the fans' fora and both of them being fully supportive and confident of the Beasants.

Sorry mate, but I trust her as far as I could throw her, and that would make me the Olympic HT throwing Gold medallist 8-)

Quite true and, given all the information available via Google regarding regarding their earlier endeavours, that was surprising. But, unlike HT, those people that were taken in weren't their RDFC Boardroom colleagues or working with them on a daily basis.

They were both employed by the Beasants, what exactly did you expect them to say?

I wouldn't have expected them to speak out against the Beasants, but if they had the slightest doubt about them then I don't think they would have been quite so positive as they were. I also doubt JE would have signed a new 5 year contract if he had suspicions about them.

And I can assure you that HT wasn't the only person to work closely alongside the Beasants who fell for their lies. Besides, it didn't take her long to decide she didn't like what she saw and leave.
