Finished 1-1. Bit of a poor first half but they came back into the game well, played some good football and got an equaliser, still unbeaten after 4 games
Though missed their early goal becauss of traffic, anyone who was there, was it a good goal?

First goal was bit of a cock up really, poor kick out from the keeper and their guy lobbed it back over his head - sloppy goal to give away but finished well from a reasonable distance, but we did come into the game more second half, some decent chances for both sides to have won the game and in the end it could have gone either way, I guess overall we'll be happier with the point than they will.
Bobos and myself did the half-time bucket collection and a grand total of
£145 was raised and passed to Kempston Rovers as a gesture of our thanks for not charging for the game - I estimated the crowd to be around 285 or so (I did a quick head count), most of them being Diamonds fans.
Another enjoyable evening, made even more enjoyable by the fact it was 10 minutes from home and Bobos was driving ;) (thanks mate !!) - looking forward to Saturday already

On behalf of everyone at AFC Kempston Rovers I would like to thank Piggers and Bobos for there time and effort in raising £145 from the bucket collection, it is very much appreciated!
We'd also like to thank all the Diamonds fans who attended last night and hope you enjoyed your evening, thanks for suppporting both our clubs! I think a draw was probably a fair reflection of the game. All the best for the rest of the season and we look forward to visiting you guys soon.

I thought we started a little slowly, Although that was probably down to the unfortunate goal though, Kempston were able to get to the 50:50's first. However as the game went on I felt we got stronger, although as pigman said we will be much happier with the point.
I do like the way Starms gets the lads to play football, not be afraid of the ball and it is quite remarkable how the team has come together in a matter of weeks playing teams who have been together since under 10's or something.
A very warm welcome from Kempston and a very nice set up there
