Yes but only if we get maximum points against Stevenage, Oxford and Mansfield for starters.johno wrote:

When we won the conference, we were 7 points behind Yeovil, who had 3 games in hand at one point - so it is do-able. Tough ask tho :|Biggles wrote:Anything is possible, i know it was a different time when we had money but we caught Hartlepool who had a massive points advantage and won the 3rd Division.
Its all about composure and confidence in the remainder of the season and then anything can happen.

We would have to be exceptional but even then, the others above us would all need to have cataclysmic downturns.
I'll settle for the play-offs and hopefully a great day out...

From memory I think we were much further behind than that when we went into the new year.TheIncognitoKid wrote:When we won the conference, we were 7 points behind Yeovil, who had 3 games in hand at one point - so it is do-able. Tough ask tho :|
However, it is one thing to catch 1 club that is so far ahead but entirely another matter to catch 3.
I'd be quite happy with a play-off spot and hopefully a trip to Wembley.

Well the cataclysmic downturn may be Chester Folding and suddenly the distance shrinks to 8 points which is not a mountain to climb in my opinion.Dukes wrote:We would have to be exceptional but even then, the others above us would all need to have cataclysmic downturns.

However yes i know its still far from easy and we would have to maintain our form and even up the pace to win the title but targets are there to aim at and why not dream as football is about dreams is it not.

Nobody has mentioned on this thread that we pulled 14 points back on the Monkey Hangers, from the beginning of March, to win the Division 3 title.rushdenman wrote: From memory I think we were much further behind than that when we went into the new year.
However, it would require a serious drop in form from Oxford, Stevenage and York for us to have any chance of the title this season.
I'll settle for 5th place. ;)

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.
