Another avenue would be to start getting some positive press going in the local rag (Mr Lea? I know you read this board!!), encouraging people to come down and get behind the side's push towards the play-offs (or maybe more????).
Times are hard !! Money is tight !! I never used to miss a game, now through a mixture of work and money I have to miss more games than I would like - but we do have a good product to sell at the moment.
Hopefully results over the next few weeks will do the talking and attract a few more doubters to return - but the players have got to keep delivering for that to happen.

I've been able to get permission to put match posters up in a school where a member of my family works and I'm looking to get permission in another school. There are a lot of posters appearing down the Sports Centre atm, so ideally it would be great if more people could download and print off the relevant posters (link below), and get permission from somewhere to put them up.
That way it will give us a visible presence and possibly catch someone who would not normally go. I was speaking to someone on Wednesday night who has a young son who has never been to watch a football match live. The moment they found out how much it would cost for him, they became interested and may be down for a match at some point.
The link to the posters is:

This idea would be very hard to pull off and would need numerous volunteers so say the least, but its worth a shout!
I have worked on events promotions in the past, eg Concerts...
What we did, is split into where we live and deliver a small flier to all the doors onto our road/estate. Despite only delivering say 20-40 each, with all 15 of us doing this, we ended up delivering 500ish flyers within our town. Personally, Ive been influenced by these schemes in the past, and despite the possible problems, I feel it would work brilliantly, especially in Rushden/Irthlingborough and in local villages such as Stanwick, where access wouldnt be too hard. Id be more than happy to deliver in Corby, but I wouldnt predict a high success rate ;)

Another way I feel could possibly work, is that we have one game where we place specific emphasis on attracting new fans, in whatever way possible. We could have reduced prices, like the old 'Kids for a Quid day, which I felt worked. The only problem was the fact we were always crap, whenever we had these games ;)
I think the game would have to be carefully chosen though. For me, the experience is massively enhanced by a large away support, which creates a brilliant atmosphere, and forces us into a good atmosphere. Possibly against one on the 'bigger teams', we should really consider this, or something original like we have seen with Mansfield.
For example, if we stay 4th and beat a big team, we should see a large percentage of these fans returning as it will be seriously exciting for them, having the chance to be part of a promotion push, which will not also benefit the club, but the community around the area.

Finally, this idea could be a tad far-fetched but it is new ideas that work so....
We manage to obtain some kind of popular attraction, such as live music, or say a circus on the Saturday lunchtime, which hopefully we could profit from regardless of the football.
We then offer a deal where if they pay for this, they can have reduced/free entry to the football.
I feel this could possibly work, as if they are already at the same place as the football, it will save petrol money and effort in order to get there. If they are already at the location, they are far more likely to attend another event at the location.
I really think we should do something like one of these three ideas, we cant really lose can we ?!

Problem is not rally negative articles, it's Lea allowing his editor to give them misleading headlines.

Why not? I'm from Corby and reckon we could get ahead of Corby Town's lack of advertising for fans. Lots of ex-Diamonds living here.

Or similarly a Saturday morning football tournament on the training pitches. All there because they like/play football so it could work.
