And aren't Shepshed Dynamo and Quorn a little out of the UCL's boundaries, I'd have thought they'd be put in the Midland Alliance tbh.[/quote]
It looks like the FA would like Leicestershire to be UCL territory, I expect we will see more Leics clubs transferred in the next couple of years, with the most southerly UCL sides going into the South Midlands League.

No news on any senior players yet apart from the four young lads from last season's youth team.
Early days. ;)

Well, there will be one goalkeeper and 10 outfield players. Most likely all looking like men, all wearing AFC R & D shirts, probably numbered 86 and 2 to 11. They'll all be hand picked by MS & AP.
;)

Just to confirm: There are two promotion spots in the league and they go to the top 2, no play-offs?

Top 2, unless 1 of those can't go up, then third are promoted. Correct, no play-offs.

Do these people who "most likely look like men" also look like promotion material though?

I dont understand why clubs wouldnt take promotion, surely that would just annoy the players that have battled all season to get promotion!

I assume you are referring to Bugbrooke SM, who declined an offer of promotion after having finished third in UCL1 - apparently it was because their management team left at the end of the season -

If two-up / two-down was being applied, I'm not sure why Thrapston weren't offered a reprieve (or perhaps they were), given Northampton Spencer and Daventry were dropping out of the UCL Premier regardless of league position.
