Re: [ Mon 30th July ] Buckingham Town Reserves v AFC R&D XI
Sub: McDonald comes back on replacing O'Grady. Soetan goes close, good save from BTFC keeper.

Diamonds goal: 4-3, Brady with a 25 yard volley.
Seconds later, BTFC make it 5-3, Simpson with his 4th of the game chipping Clarke.

Sounded like an awesome game, at least we're banging in the goals, left, right and centre.
Thanks for the updates.

As you'll see from a couple of the pics, it was an "interesting" ground to visit. Clearly Manor Fields has seen a lot better days, and that was what made it different to many of the grounds you visit at the steps 5-7 level. Bletchley Town play their games there - who were once known as MK City FC, the club people said should have been built up to represent Milton Keynes rather than the MK Dons. Seeing the state of the ground it was clear that would have been a huge task.
The situation with Buckingham Town is also unclear - they were playing their games at a Leisure Centre in Winslow, after their own ground was repossessed over 12 months ago, yet seem to be training and playing their friendlies at Manor Fields - which is probably quite an easy trip up the A421 from Buckingham - but I guess that wouldn't pass any ground grading tests.

Its a bit different, in that they've added a small stand with a few seats behind some dugouts opposite the terrace with no roof - but the roof seems to have come off the stand as well. I think the dugouts would have been the only shelter had it rained ....
