Conference era we had to try an create the highlights, however as I'm sure everyone knows the challenges in finding the time and resources to do a decent job made it hard (plus to be honest once out of the football league diamonds player was never going to make any money, so was never a high priority)

Some of the highlights are probably on mine/ Ollys / other volunteers computers. (happy to help if required for archive site Tony), I've got a handful of DVDs of complete matches in the loft too, although pretty much only obscure conference games from the last season.

Gary Mabee made a lot of the videos so may have an archive if he kept a personal copy.

I know there were hundreds of complete matches on DVD and VHS tucked away in cupboards at Nene Park, I wonder what happened to them - hopefully they're still sat there, wouldn't be surprised if they went missing however - it'd be a shame if so.

I wonder what happens with rights now the clubs no longer in the perform agreement, for instance if footage was to be uploaded to YouTube and then a link added to the relevant match report article on the archive site.
I think we've already put a reasonably comprehensive set of highlights on Youtube, and it's a good idea to link to them from the new site. I went through the old VHS season highlights tapes and extracted some of the more interesting games and put them on Youtube, and when I realised the Perform group didn't even offer video archives of our football league days I uploaded some of those too. A few other people uploaded highlights during our second spell in the Conference, such as Gary Mabee - but highlights were quite few and far between then !
Well with the archive on the site gone then, I'll start to put the various highlights I edited from the last 2 seasons on youtube then if there's no issues with the rights anymore and link to the match reports on the archive site when its up. I've also various match dvds from those seasons lying around as well.

Depends upon what you measure it by? Nicest and probably best liked manager - sure. Best?

Even though I disliked the bloke as a person, that has to be Brian Talbot ! On record of success alone ! You could argue that JE(MS) got more out of the type of players they had at their disposal, whereas Talbot had money to attract far better players, but boy, didn't we win a ton under his stewardship?

We actually won as much under Roger Ashby as we did under Brian Talbot, but in a shorter period of time.

I think I'd argue that the Conference and League Div 3 titles were "more" than we won under Roger, and to a certain extent, with greater expectations? ;)

JE actually made me look forward to matches, whereas under Hill and Tippett I was just dreading them and it was just a chore. Plus we played some magnificent football.

How many people had heard of Paul Underwood, Duane Darby or Onandi Lowe before he signed them ?

How many managers have won a title when only adding 1 significant player to their squad for the vast bulk of the season?

I'm not saying Talbot was in the Bobby Robson league, but plenty of managers have had huge budgets and not delivered.
