I have a little issue with the comments made by Adie Mann in one of those issues, especially in light of the delivery of the Rushden reporter through my door yesterday.

I can appreciate his comments about new teams in the league, and teams with more money than his own skewing the league positions for a season or so, however he was happy enough to take full time football from the Diamonds when Max was around, so how could he possibly complain about players earning money from the game?

Also, as alluded to above, on a full page spread in the Rushden reporter is an advert for R&HUFC listing their next fixtures, and in a larger font, our game with them.

Fair play to them for having the advert, and i’m sure they will be happy to take our money through the turnstiles, over the bar, and food counters, but something still doesn’t sit right with me!

So Mr. Mann, here’s my advice to you....suck it up and take the rewards that having a bumper crowd at Hayden road will bring!

I'm sure they will donate that money to charity. I mean, it would be extremely hypocritical if they were to use it to improve their own club/team in any way.

My advice would be for him to just focus on his own side rather than worry about us, judging by what he thinks about their inability to win, he has something to worry about? ;)

I really hope either Starms or Ralph were joking.

Everyone knows that success in football management at most levels is results-based, but surely at the beginning of the season no-one need threaten a manager with the sack? but I for one do not like the thought that we are so ruthless as to make that kind of threat to our new manager in our new team, at the start of our first season.

The Chairman should speak with Starms, and a joint statement issued repudiating this article if isn't true, or confirming it if it is true.

And if it IS true, I have to say I am deeply, deeply disappointed.

TBF, think he's trying to take the pressure off the players actually.

Pressure is from outside agencies though, not the fans.
