I was in Wellingborough library the other day and noticed they had some A5 colour flyers for forthcoming matches.

The Nene Valley News is delivered into 13,000 homes in the area. Surely this would not be an expensive way to advertise our forthcoming fixtures as do Rushden and Higham FC....Luckily I am partially PC literate (and I am almost 75 )and can look at forthcoming fixtures but, many of our elderley fans haven,t a clue when the next home or away game is simply because they do not own or understand PCs.....was in selling most of my working life and although I know it is expensive,Avertising Pays ! Edit....Unless you are a Ploppies promoter trying to give away FREE tickets to a gig at Nene Park...

I think we have had fixtures in there before, and I know we have put Fundraising/Quiz Nights in there (not as Adverts though, just in the What's On Section , which you could submit for free). We will double check.

In the old R&DFC days we always sent the Diamond Diary to the Nene Valley News - I remember seeing a copy in Diamond Centre Reception and it had used the info we'd sent them.

The cost of a one off ad in the NV News is aprox £340 for a quarter page ad...More expensive than I would have thought but, still worth it in my opinion to get things going and bums on seats !

Make it an article and they'll add it in for nothing, same with the Rushden Reporter
