hardly anyone from Rushden shops in Wellingboro now , years ago when i was a child everyone went to the market on Saturdays

They used to leave on Thursday and get back to Rushden on Wednesday, then the Romans came and built a road :lol: :lol:

Although it would be nice to own our own ground, it seems that any club who does have such an asset is vulnerable to a property developer weaseling their way into the club in order to take advantage - as Hereford are the latest to find out - so playing in a council owned facility might be an ideal solution for a community facing club.

Some might say that our constitution would prevent outsiders getting a position of power, but events at Exeter City have demonstrated this isn't quite so certain - http://twohundredpercent.net/?p=25772

Perhaps the title of this thread ought to be changed now that the scheme has obtained Mr Pickles consent.
