1983 home fans, 100 more than last year and that's way more than we've had this season so very decent attendance I'd say.

Personally I was expecting about 2500. 1800 of us and 700 of them. I mean it was higher than I expected
Fair enough, i would have hoped around an extra 1000 could have attended this game, like we used to get 4000+ 10 years ago!
Well, didn't an extra 1000 attend?

I imagine there were about 2000 home fans? Isn't that 1000 more than usual?[/quote]
Yea but it's local derby and both teams are well positioned in the league. You hear plenty of people saying they are Diamonds/K*ttering fans and how they hate the other, but where were they today?

We never looked like creating anything, and when we did, we should have done much better.

K*ttering were poor as they are everytime they play them. Didn't create anything either.

Decision to take Louis off was strange and you could tell he wasn't happy.
The 0-0 at the Rockinghorse in the 98/99 season was much worse than today's game, I remember one long range shot, I think from Macca, and a red card for Super Daz for pushing a scum player in the face. The 1-1 draw the following season was probably worse than today as well, despite the 2 goals.

Funny how people see things differently, I thought we lost our impetous when Louis went off - he was holding the ball up well for us, Akurang won 3 headers and did nothing else? The Scum came back into the game when Louis went off.

As they say, its a game of opinions - while Louis didn't look like he was going to score, he was laying the ball off to others.

I think the biggest influence on the game was the pitch, which actually held up better than I thought it would when you consider the amount of rain it'd had on it.

As to most boring derby - I agree with the two shouts above. I've seen all 13 derby games and this was a long way from being the most boring.............but it wasn't great !! Good news is we're still in the play-off pack, its any 4 from 7 sides I reckon !!

OK it was a bit stale, but the pitch made a lot of difference and brought the standard down a lot. Louis was good at holding the ball up, and was possibly the best I have seen him this year but he needs to get rid with one touch. As soon as he tries to do anything with it he loses it coz he is so slow.
I thought the atmosphere was terrible, the De Banke certainly were not the 12th man today which could have made the difference and in the south stand you could have heard a pin drop for most of the match. Trying to create an atmosphere at Nene Park is getting harder and I think reflects in the performance of the players. If the crowd isn't up for it then how can you expect the players to be!

The only way to get more noise in the ground, is if we move to the Airwair...

The atmosphere was disappointing yesterday but I would hardly call it terrible. I expect the players to be up for every single game regardless of the importance or atmosphere because that is what they are paid to do, and I certainly wouldn't say they weren't up for it yesterday. K*ttering are a very solid, well organised team, but (on yesterdays showing) are one dimensional going forwards, and lack any creativity or spark. We were the better team, and created a few good opportunities but just lacked a bit of quality in the final third - not the first time we've said that this season. On another day we might have had our shooting boots on and won by a couple of goals, and we'd all be sitting here happy as Larry at yet another victory over the scum.

I had a totally ridiculous and completely impractical idea about that actually.... for arguement's sake:

Would it be possible to convert all or part of the AirWair to terracing? (I doubt the club would even want to because I guess it would be seen as a step backwards, but anyway....)

Are the steps underneath the seats of the correct dimensions to allow this to happen?
Is it possible to bolt crush barriers through the existing steps or do they need to be concreted in?
Can the seat frames (i.e. the metal bits) be easily removed or do they have to be cut out of the structure?
Is the stand actually designed for the extra load that the resulting increase in capacity would create.
What would be an approximmate cost to do this?
If we had a whip round and did a bit of fundraising would we be able to raise that figure?

Never gonna happen obviously, but it would be brilliant if it did.
