Accoring to the EA website it's not for the part of the village that contains the football ground though:

Is there a planned pitch inspection?

I noticed that Bugbrooke's home match on the 5th December was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch so I reckon it might be called off if there is heavy rain overnight and tomorrow morning as there are already flood alerts in the village. :(

Boo! It should stop by midday, if the ref and club dont bottle it hopefully a good forking will get it done ;)

Let's hope so. Heavy rain in the Northants area forecast to start at 6am. Really depends how saturated Bugbrooke's pitch is at the moment.

As AK mentioned above, the flood alerts are for the Hoarestone Brook, which runs into the Nene, and it is the well away from the ground. In fact it runs under the Grand Union Canal which sweeps around the village and that is at a similar level to the ground.

Having said that, I've no idea about the state of the pitch - but if the game is on it will also be worth keeping an eye on any flooding of the Nene if that might affect your route to the village.

I should imagine that if the game is in doubt we should know around 11am to prevent a wasted journey.

Presumably there's going to be a pitch inspection of some sort. Games getting postponed right across the country.
