They've nothing to prove at our level. The old guys aren't in a position to progress further so it's just a hobby for them. Loved it on Tuesday when it started to kickoff just before half time and he quickly defused the situation by picking the ball up and blowing for half time.

Exactly right SRJFC ! If you booked anyone in my reffing days you had to do your reports to the NFA a certain Mr Hillier ! If your reports which were not exactly right and the player or management of the team booked appealed the booking you were hauled in front of the NFA commitee probably on an evening during the week....so you can see the reason IMO why you do not see so many bookings in the lower leagues. If you had a really problem game eg,local derbies, cup, etc you could very often spend all day Sunday writing reports!. The higher leagues don,t have this problem as they have their Media and Video evidence. Not an easy job in the lower leagues and they certainly don,t do it for the high wages !...most do it for the love of the game. They all do their best IMHO...IT,S JUST THAT SOME ARE NOT AS GOOD AS OTHERS !

Guys you are showing your ages now! Referees don't have to write out reports anymore for bookings, it's a simple tick box on the internet/computer takes about 5 seconds.

What is the world coming to?

Sunday League football can't be the same now you don't know which games you can kick lumps out of the opposition safe in the knowledge that if the ref does book you he won't send in the report
