We went a massive spell without any home games though, so this is it probably catching up with us.

I'm not convinced the groundstaff haven't been paid for 7 months. Honestly, they would have walked by now if that is the case.

Reading the OS match report the groundstaff are being given thanks for the effort they made getting the pitch being playable today.

This is not the first time that rumours have started circulating that various behind the scenes staff haven't been paid for a while (it's probably not the second, or third time either), but to my knowledge none of the staff have walked before, despite these claims.

I know nothing at all about who has or hasn't been paid at the club, but if there are people who haven't been paid then I'm sure there is a perfectly good reason for the delay in payment, and I imagine they will all be getting paid very soon following our bumper attendance today, not to mention the increased food and drink takings.

These sort of rumours do nothing but stir things up and cause unnecessary worry, and IMO should be taken with a large pinch of salt.

YES GETTING THE GAME ON.if it wasn't for these people you would not have had a game today and these are the people that SERVE you but don't get there money to pay there BILLS. bet the players got paid.

I would have thought it obvious the players get paid before other staff as without the players you can't fulfil games, it may not be nice but thats the way it is with football clubs. No doubt It will be the same old story of cash flow which in the current economic climate and the problems with the weather conditions is affecting a host of football clubs, you just have to look at Mansfields reaction to last weeks postponement and the plea to play the game 3 days later.

A week does not go by now without at least 2 or 3 clubs being served winding up notices by the inland revenue and i bet Chairmen everwhere are hoping that this crap weather goes away and no more postponements.

Oh and yes the Chester debacle has not helped the cash flow for March as we lose gate receipts as well as 3 points.

I can confirm, that staff are not being paid (they players also not getting paid (well in subs - payments here and there), but this I cannot confirm this), staff though, what's left are know for a fact.

The lack of games has not helped, and today's cash mostly went to the police, so staff will not be paid again. Now the question is why are the staff not walking, well they are, they just trying to find jobs which is tricky in this climate, and getting a sub here and there is better than none at all for just walking away.

Lots of bills have also not been paid, the utilities are not allowed on site in case they turn off the supply's etc.

I don't know why we are in this state, but I am surprised that this is first time the rumour as appeared as it has been on going for a while.

I know I have not made many posts but I have been around the club along time and know personally very close to staff, so know this info for fact, so please believe me, and get behind the club with as much help as possible.
