Wasn't there but judging by twitter it looks like we could/should have scored 9 again! Not complaining though, a win's a win and we've improved our goal difference by +8 in a few days and have definitely made up for the Oadby score now

No not really. Buckingham were vastly improved and much better organised and looked like a ucl side. Having said that, the damage was done early on with a couple of very early goals. Maybe if Newman had of played most of the game we may have scored a few more but we'll take a 3-0 win. King came in and was MOM for me and once he plays a few more games he become a game winner on his day. Thats 4 clean sheets in a row now and hoping for another decent result a week Saturday away to BPW!

Don't remember Buckingham having a shot - don't remember them getting out of their own half in the second half - but they were much improved from last time we played them although you wouldn't have known it early on. I thought a couple of their players were actually quite decent including the 'keeper.
We played well, stand-out performers were Brown, King and McBride (who was my MOM). Alfie worked hard but isn't having much luck in front of goal. Only disappointment besides Newman's injury was probably the attendance (342?) although given the weather, time of year and opposition it's probably not unexpected.
Bit of a strange observation but did anybody think the game finished early? I was leaving the ground at 9:25 after the final whistle. Assuming the game started on time and we had a 15-minute half-time it should have finished at 9:30, and that's with no injury time.

Thought the game was blown up slightly early, maybe no injury time was played.

Big thanks to the volunteers for making sure the game went ahead, especially Bob, who was at the ground from 2!
I thought the game finished really early as well but tbh you can't blame the ref for wanting it to end early, it was freezing!
Raking sand is actually really relaxing, I might have to buy myself a mini zen garden thingy.

All clubs suffer drops in attendance at this time of year and actually i think im right in saying that its only about 50 down on our usual tuesday attendance. We were struggling at 700 back at nene park on a tues night so i don't think we should be too dissapointed with 342.
I'll also add that the league fixture policy doesn't help but nothing we can do about that.

We totally dominated the game from the very first minute to the last and it was great to see. It wasn't an easy pitch to play on and I was delighted with the performance. Hopefully we can keep this form going into the big games with Oadby and Sileby, nice to look at the table and see us in second place - now let's see if we can stay there (or better) eh?
A big shout out to the guys who helped to get the pitch ready today, especially to Bob who went the extra mile and was down there all afternoon - no wonder he calls it a "forking" pitch ;) Seriously, that was a massive effort guys and probably unseen by many, but without your help I'm sure the match wouldn't have gone ahead. I only arrived at 6.40pm and most of the work on it had been done.

I would like to echo the comments on how hard the volunteers worked to get the match on. I was down here when Bob and Jon ward came down to fork the pitch, they started the ball rolling, and well done to all the other guys later on.
Bob was marking the pitch out in the really bad snow fall we had, so well done to him. He must have been freezing!!
Well done to you.
