Had a mate send me a pic of Latimer Park earlier and currently the match would be off as waterlogged. Maybe with a bit of work on it and some sun we'll be ok. I think anymore rain and the fixture will be doomed!

I think their groundsman won groundsman of the year last season, he is confident the game will be on and I think he must know what he is on about.

There's alot of water along the near touchline and with some attention i'm sure it can be made playable. But anymore rain and we'll be in troublebozzer wrote:I think their groundsman won groundsman of the year last season, he is confident the game will be on and I think he must know what he is on about.

Just shove a load of Weetabix on it that'll soak up any water, with the added advantage of giving the players a healthy snack during the game.
I can't think why anyone hasn't thought of it before

Burton have appointed a new manager, Joe Smyth who has had quite a bit of success in the past with Whitworths and Thrapston.
If it's the chap I'm thinking of he rants and raves a bit from the touchline, total contrast to Kev Fox, so the BPW players are in for a bit of a shock
Anyway best of luck to him, after Saturday obviously

I've spoken to BPW tonight and although there was some standing water on the pitch this morning, it has improved as the day has gone on and they have no concerns about Saturday's game.

I work next door to the pitch and I mean right next door.
No rain and some sun on it all day, had a look before I came home tonight, all puddles gone and the groundsman has been working on it.
Looks good, but will be heavy going, some knacked legs tommorrow night!

Not from our side. Starms has had them doing plenty of running again in training this week!kiwikid wrote:Looks good, but will be heavy going, some knacked legs tommorrow night! .
