Finished 2-2. Not too much damage done. 6 games remaining in the league and we still have a good lead. All those teams with games in hand will need to win them to challenge us.

It was the old cliché - the game of two halves. We were definitely second best in the first half, not helped by giving the ball away too often, but totally dominated in the second period, and also had a clear penalty shout turned down.

and a game of 2 styles - Woodford were hoof and run with the quick centre forwards, Rushden tried to build the play from the back with quick passing and movement.
I remember Mark Walsh saying on interview earlier in the year, that the team will always concede goals doing this, but it is for the best development of the players. It is great that he is sticking to those principles - and for the lads to try it last night on a horrible pitch was commendable. Yes there were mistakes which led to the second goal and a busy night for the Rushden Keeper, but the team still got something from the game which cements their position at the top of the league.
Good luck for the remaining games

Keep a look out for Mark's post match interview when the highlights are uploaded. It's interesting to hear him explain how and why they do things, when most of us are stood watching thinking "why don't they just do this, or play that formation..."!
