We were VAT registered all last season.

The thing about these votes that worries me is like the tax man raising taxes, IE its for his benefit, same with us, the people that vote realise that the raise in price benefits the team/club (as it stood 200 out of say 800 fans, so 25% representation of the support). The problem is that most people out side that hate anything where prices are rising (do you like your tax being increased).

So just a small warning for future votes, we NEED to think about the bigger picture, not just whether we as a members can afford the rise, that's almost irrelevant, the question should be as a joe supporter would you be happy with that rise. A subtle difference but an important one.

It's more like 43%, don't forget our Under 16 members are inelligible to vote (and unaffected by the result). It's a fair point though, but I think the fact that the vote was so close (and the highest option was well behind) desipte the fact that many of us are used to paying many times that at the old club, shows that people have taken things into consideration. Ultimately though the idea of a vote is it's a consensus of our members own opinion and different people will give weight to different factors.

Season tickets etc won't be decided until after the UCL AGM on 12th June when the final make up of the leagues should be decided and we've then got together to thrash out pricing.

Thanks for that Chas, I was wondering what the turnout was. It still grates me that the turnout is under 50% for the main decision the members have.

I think that people will be more understanding when prices go up because they'll know it's the fans that are deciding. If they're not then they should vote against it and argue for their preferred option on the Members' Forum.

Don't forget that we have gone up to a higher division for next season. I'm sure the fans of Cardiff, Hull and Crystal Palace will be expecting to pay more next season.

If we were charging more than the norm for our level there might be an arguable case against the incease but as we are not I think most people will be quite happy with the £6 charge, especially when you consider that the "matchday experience" they are likely to get will be much better than that at many other clubs of a similar level.

I think Chas has hit the nail on the head, considering the prices that were paid at NP I would guess most of you would be happy to pay 5/6/7 so there will have been members not voting as they weren't too bothered at the result.

I don't mean that in a negative way in not caring but more like the options were all acceptable.

If the choices had been 60p, £6 or £60 we might have seen a higher turnout :lol: :lol: :lol:

I would say no internet access for those was the main reason, unless I missed something and the vote could be cast by post.

I will probably buy a season ticket this year, I would imagine that this would bring the price per game back down to £5 area anyway.

Got to admit reading back my posts sounds like I'm a tight git , its not that I just want to place emphasis that the die hards will be members where as our real target are the floating fans.

The main point is though that is the kids price is brilliant, this is the only way forward, look at MK don (yes you all hate them), but what they offer kids/teens is amazing, and they reaping the benefits from it.

All our votes usually have an option to vote by post or internet. Although the number of our adult members who don't have internet access is fairly small.

It should be remembered that the season ticket for 9 to 16's is included as part of their membership. If they aren't a member then they have to pay.

With the entrance probably being £2.50 and Junior Membership £5 then you only have to come to three matches and you have made money. That of course is just on entrance fees, there is the Business Partners Scheme as well as the steps we take to evolve the Junior Membership in the coming years.

King's Lynn were charging £10 for Step 4 football last season, with puts this discussion into perspective.
