I dont think we are far off of that, with Aynsley being on the fringes of the XI atm with suspensions, and i fully expect him to make an appearance before the season is out.

There are a number of arguements both for and against this, but i think atm, we are not really in a comfortable position to be taking 'risks' like that, even against perceived easier teams. Just look at H&Y last night!!

I was looking at some other statistics for this season, and the one I find most interesting is goals conceded. We have a cracking defence, and now they've gelled we are very hard to score against, but the only team who has scored more than twice against us this season is... Grays Athletic, who managed 4 at NP.

We have only conceded twice against 6 teams: Salisbury, 0~2, now 17th,
Forest Green, 4~2, now 22nd,
Stevenage, 1~2, now 1st,
Crawley, 1~2, now 10th,
Tamworth, 3~2, now 15th and
Cambridge, 2~2, now 13th. All those matches were before december and three were in August.

In 13 matches against teams from the top half we have conceded only 9 goals.

I find all this very promising going into the last 12 games

You'd have to give a few more starts to players like McNamara/Smith/Pattison, before youth team players got a look in.

No easy games in this division!

Well there have been one or two easy games actually ;)

But definitely no easy games now, as Justin said, every game is a cup final now and I agree, the playoff race is so close and there's a lot of pressure now on every team in it as they know just one slip up and they could find themselves outside the top 5 desperately fighting to get back into it. I think the days of us putting 3/4+ against the crappier teams and making it look like a walk in the park are over because of that pressure and I just hope the fans are patient with the team as it's going to be a battle every game, should be a very exciting end to the season and we're in a super position!

I guess you weren't disappointed.

That's now 26 points out of a possible 33 since 1st January. Championship form. ;)
