PNS could not be playing us at a better time.
I believe the UCL need to look ahead when scheduling matches midweek to see when England are playing. If England don't win tomorrow they will be in the playoffs on Nov 19th...when we play Yaxley.
The UCL don't say "you will play the night of the England game". Clubs can and do play on the Wednesday if it suits them. No help to me though, I'll be working either way :(

Not so sure as they have just lost their 'best' player to Wisbitch

I'm hoping our players say "right, we're out of the Cup, let's take it out on the next team we play". We're in decent form, let's be positive.

No reason for them not be positive, the game may be tough for both players and fans to get into the correct mentality for following the big game on Saturday and it will certainly be a come down being back to playing UCL teams, but if they apply themselves correctly, there's no reason why they shouldn't beat PNS, I'm just thankful its not a game against someone like Spalding.

This thread is taking an anti England stance. That was not my point!! . Yes myself and all of you will be at The D & D tomorrow evening but a couple of hundred others will not be, costing OUR club at least £1000. It is not the first time this has happened and is something that can be avoided as England games are known well in advance. If England don't win tomorrow we will be playing at Yaxley on the evening of the World Cup qualifying play offs... I bet they would look for a way to postpone the match, as we could potentially give them a bigger gate than half of all their others added together.
Coincidentally the match v Yaxley could be postponed anyway if we are still in the Vase, as the next round is scheduled for 16th Nov and a draw would mean a replay on the evening of the 19th.
Going back to the England situation. I want them/us to get to Brazil and do well as it has a knock on effect throughout football the following season and creates that "feel good" factor.
I despise the Premier League and the way the club owners are trying to undermine England but at the end of the day I/we are English and should want to back our national team all the way.

We're going over old ground here as it was discussed in some depth in an earlier topic. I suggest we get on with supporting our club and not worry too much about a possible smaller crowd.

Incidentally, I wouldn't bank on Yaxley changing the night in the event that England are in a play off, they're also playing at home tomorrow and have already pointed out that fans can keep an eye on the England game in their clubhouse. ;)

Maybe so, although Yaxley may see the visit of 200+ Diamonds fans differently to the arrival of Kempstons support of roughly err zero.

This game has been known about for ages, so (before you moan I will be at the D&D tomorrow)
As a fans club, why does it seem that we don't listen to ourselves and move the game to a Wednesday, as we seem to prefer from the last time this came up. I'm sure the board and team have good reasons, two being player availability and volunteers etc etc.
I know players might not be available, but I bet most are, the game has been known about for ages so volunteers could have time to be found, I'm playing devils advocate here by the way, I not sure what side of the fence I am on (I'll decide when I here the attendance tomorrow ), so I will just sit in the middle here. I doubt the crowd will actually be that affected, I reckon it will be around 400, so a loss of a 100 maybe.
Maybe someone from the board could explain the reasons for NOT moving it.
On to the game, if the team and fans that played Harborough turn up tomorrow we will be in for a rough game, if the other team and fans turn up, we will steam roller them out of the way.

Lets have a look at how it affects the attendance tomorrow night, most people I have spoken to have said they would rather watch us than stay at home and watch england. If we find it's catastrophic then we can review the procedure in the future.

Sounds like a plan
