A win on Tuesday will see us move up to 4th and possibly 3rd depending on what Huntingdon do. 6 points behind Deeping with a game in hand (Tuesday), I think we can catch them. :)

Long Buckby didn't do much apart from moan, especially their number 9!!

Cracker of a goal from Kingy though. Have to mention Lance Allen's goal also. What a goal! And pleased he showed respect to the club, by not celebrating.

Lance's was a silly goal to conceded. It took me twenty minutes to realise Liburd playing

Yeah I did think that, Nat was fairly anonymous.

I didn't think he was playing until I overheard someone point him out, what was he doing at the back?

Comfortable win in the end, although at 2-1 Long Buckby were always in it. There was always a chance that Lance could latch onto another good pass and repeat his excellent finish. The game only came to life towards the ends when we made it safe.
I was given the honour of picking the MoM , and it was quite difficult. I narrowed it down to 2 in the end, Dunks and Parky. Dunks was excellent today but gets and will continue to rack up lots of awards, so I went for Parky. He missed nothing in the air and organised the back four effectively. Whilst LB did n`t threaten much, a lot of it was due to the defence who were solid throughout and kept their concentration and looked composed at all times,( hence the constant moaning from the No 9) plus they rarely get a mention, so here it is #defendersunion. ;)

I remember him moaning at the start of the season when asked to play centre half against Northwich in a pre-season friendly and where has he played in the two games against us? Centre half.

another good win and another 3 points, good goals and thought King showed what he can do with that finish.

Shame Alfie's goal run ended although I'm sure normal service will resume on Tuesday. Everyone crediting Alfie on beating his goal tally from last year but I know they are midfielders but so has Gearing, McBride and King

I think having a quality player in Dunks has helped those players around him to score goals. Having notched up 19 already himself, his hold up play, presence and assists have been inspirational and no wonder Cambridge City tried to prise him away!

Mal's pics are added to the Match Report. I hope James Allcock recovers well from injury - it looked pretty nasty at the time, and the pics don't make it look any better. It was rather ironic that they picked up two bad injuries on the day they didn't have a physio - as well as their number 8, Wes Emery, giving the impression he was unlikely to take any further part after the Ling yellow card tackle.
