They are always a few months behind with news.

He's dual registered as we are in a different league to Daventry Town.

You can only loan a player under written contract with another club. The vast majority of players at our level and the league above are not on contracts, so are free to register for a team in every single league competition throughout the country if they want (UCL Premier and Div 1 are the same competition, so you can't be registered for a team in both at the same time).

Joe's registration with us is as permanent as any player registered on non-contract terms, i.e. it lasts until the end of this playing season. As Trek said, he remains registered to Daventry Town as well, and could theoretically play for both clubs on the same day if our kick off times were staggered.
