Agree Olly Spending Utd having only dropped 5 points so far are possibly out of range, but this is football and you never know. Our aim should be 2nd at the worst now and see what happens (which coupled with Cup runs must constitute a good season)
Points dropped so far Huntingdon 11, Us 16, Deeping 19 and Cogenhoe 24, hopefully Cogenhoe and Deeping as we have to play them both we can look after ourselves. Huntingdon or any chance of catching Spending we may need some help with, this we may have to wait till late in the season for, as possible very interesting run in. If no change to present fixture list Spending Utd finish as follows.
5th April AFC R&D Away, 12th April Huntingdon Away, 19th April Huntingdon Home, 21st April Deeping Away!!!!!!
Deeping also have to play Huntingdon twice in the League and have a Cup semi against each other.
Seasons not over yet is it????

Huntingdon v Cogenhoe tomorrow. Could do with a draw there.

Even better a Cogenhoe win, a result we can then nullify by going to Cogenhoe and winning on Tuesday, still think with a good run in we will be playing our last game on 26th April with 2nd place in our own hands.

What a sequence of games, I like that, that'll at least force a bit of pressure on them towards the end of the season so they can't think they've won it yet, if we beat them and close the gap to a possible 8 points going into those 3 very tricky games, again provided we win all our games. Clutching at straws a bit though

We're football fans olly (and diamonds fans at that) so clutching at straws is what we do best :D

It's nigh on impossible that we'll overhaul Fat Pat's Spalding, but the pressure is off us now really and while there is a chance I'll believe we can take it !! I've always said until it's mathematically impossible I'll believe, I've learnt that from previous title challenges - sure it's looking doubtful, but that's part of the fun isn't it?

We simply have to win all our games now and then what will be will be - no pressure eh?

Oh, and thankfully I can now make it tomorrow now :)

Possibly an excess of now's Piggers but allowance made due to your obvious excitement of being allowed out. Does this revelation now mean Sam & myself can stop digging the escape tunnel into your back garden ?? If a lift is required AFC's equivalent to Paul is playing Taxi Bitch 12 noon at mine.

Now now, play nicely now brownie ;)

Already spoken to afc's equivalent of Paul and he is picking me up too. Allowed out because grandkids are heading back home in the morning, they've been staying with us all week. Got to say, if the choice was a few more quality hours with them and football, they'd win hands down!! :D

Looking forward to tomorrow - I may have a beer too ;)

Bright sunny summer- like day, no footy for ages . It must be the start of a new season.

Its a shame so many of Spaldings tough games will be at the very end as by the time they play those games they will have enough points in the bag.

Not necessarily actually, if Huntingdon can maintain their very good record this season and win their games in hand (6 of them!) then they could be only 6 points behind Spalding going into that double header with them, so I think they'll still have to keep on their toes to ensure they do take the title.

2 - 0 to Diamonds at the moment. Both goals to Matt Gearing, one a penalty.
