it's working now and they have said that they are having technical problems - let's hope it stays on until the end of the game.

our equipment certainly indicated we were broadcasting and we did have several tweets and texts.
We did have a problem early on, probably Cogenhoe in a bit of a blind spot.
sorry to anyone who could not get us.
0-0 a fair result. Cooks probably felt they shaded it on first half performance. It made a change for us to be any such pressure. Matt Findley MOM against his old club and maybe Darren Watts Cooks MOM.
First ever AFC R & D goal less draw!

Took us a while to wake up (about 40 mins!) but when we did I thought we did well, battled well and could perhaps consider ourselves a tad unfortunate although admittedly it could have gone either way. A very even game overall.
Some x-rated challenges going in from Cogenhoe particularly in the second half and the referee's performance was appalling I thought, had no control of the game whatsoever and it's surprising somebody wasn't seriously injured.

Do these clowns who wear a black costume but no silly hat and flashing nose understand what they are there to do, like them all those players have got to go to work this morning and he gave them about as much protection as a turkey in December. Some injuries can`t be helped and to be fair the challenges that resulted in Sean & Joe going off were two of the better ones during the night. However the were a lot of bloody dreadful one`s which more by luck than judgement didn`t result in bad injuries, and the Muppet smiled his way through his entire inept performance even putting his arm round the odd Cogenhoe player whilst it appeared offering congratulations. The No 4 was one of those sent off last Sat after his follow up performance last night possibly his next opponent should be one C. Woodhouse, and then Dunks gets his 2nd booking of the season for persistent fouling!!! 3 free kicks against him all night while he endured another 90mins of some plank trying to remove his treasured No 9 shirt at every opportunity. As for the No 3 for them, did he have legs, as most of his tackles he looked like a Victorian farmer out scything down anything that stood 3ft or higher, preceded by the only foul on him during the match when he yelped like a smacked puppy, was given the free kick and promptly jumped up and ran off (wucking fanker)BartonRaz wrote:Took us a while to wake up (about 40 mins!) but when we did I thought we did well, battled well and could perhaps consider ourselves a tad unfortunate although admittedly it could have gone either way. After the rant, hats off to Henderson, during the last 2 games he has been kicked from pillar to post and he gets back up and gets on with doing a very good job at the back. For a young lad he has shown an enormous amount of composure and has certainly not shyed away from anything, hope he`s ok for Sat as we may well have enough enforced changes as it is.

I thought Joe Henderson had another impressive game, but he too had little protection from the referee, as the Cooks players had realised they could get away with an awful lot with minimum punishment. I can't recall a referee getting the basics wrong, like allowing us to take a free kick with a rolling ball, and why he played less than three minutes added time after such a stop-start second-half is a mystery - although perhaps a boxing referee might have stopped things to avoid our players getting further punishment.

I did my own review of the game on the Radio Diamonds website...(there is a preview and review of Holbeach on there too....)
http://www.radiodiamonds.co.uk/
I really enjoyed the game, the tension when we were being put under the cosh, the way our players reacted to the horrendous tackles, and most of all despite everything including Sean and Joe having to go off the way we came on strong and dominated the last half-hour.
We didn't just accept that it wasn't going to be our night. We kept playing and we turned round the path of the game showing good fitness late on and could and maybe should have won it in the end.
I think it'll do our lads the world of good to have come through a game like that and I'd take us to finish the highest placed Northamptonshire side in the UCL..
